Electronic Patient Records Review

Dr ShepherdIn the UK, Electronic Patient Records have begun to be deployed. Whilst a central database to manage patient records offers many advantage it also raises questions as to the UK Governments ability to manage and secure data bases. But also the ethical impact of select medical professionals being able to view patient records.


As part of a review into EPR run by Sheffield Hallam and The Centre for Science Education, Aimed mediA were contracted to develop a selection of green screen talking heads as part of a review into Electronic Patient Records. Three interviews were captured covering the different points of view on the technological and ethical aspects of EPR. Titles were added using Motion and LiveType, and the completed videos were delivered for use on a promotional website.
